Acolyte Ministry

The Acolyte Corps of Church of the Epiphany includes adults and youth who serve at the altar assisting the priests or by participating in the processional traditions of our worship. They serve at all parish services and on special occasions, including baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and funerals.

Eucharistic Ministers

Eucharistic Ministers are persons that assist the clergy with specific ministries during worship. They help with reading the lessons of the day, voicing the prayers of the people, and distributing Holy Communion. Similar to acolytes, Eucharistic Ministers serve at all parish worship services that include Holy Communion.

Altar Guild

This is a ministry of prayer and fellowship. Members get to know one another well, and are key components of supporting many of the other ministries. This group makes sure that the sanctuary is clean and readied for each service and event that occurs in the church. Many members are needed for this ministry, and work on teams of three rotating with a Saturday to Saturday schedule.

Lectors/Readers

Lectors lead the parish in listening to the Holy Scriptures during all of our worship services. By reading the lessons appointed for the day for the parish, the lector invites us into listening to the Holy Spirit and how God is calling each us forward in ministry.

Greeters/Ushers

This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy extending hospitality and sharing the warmth of the Epiphany community. Volunteers arrive to church services early to set up the welcome table prior to the service, hand out bulletins, help seat visitors or parishioners who need assistance, and fulfill the oblation duties.
