Pianist & Organist
Miriam Hickman completed her DMA at Arizona State University where she served as a Faculty Associate in accompanying from 1982-1987. In great demand as a recital accompanist, Dr. Hickman has also played locally with The Phoenix Symphony and for Phoenix Theater. She has served as a staff pianist for the International Trumpet Guild Conference, International Tuba & Euphonium Conference, Rafael Méndez Brass Institute, International Double Reed Society Conference, and the Southwest Regional Conference of the World Saxophone Congress, in addition to performing in collaboration with some of the greatest soloists worldwide. Dr. Hickman received her Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In addition to her active freelance career, she is also the organist at Church of the Epiphany in Tempe, Arizona and the owner of Classic Touch Music Academy where she teaches nearly forty piano students a week.
