Every Sunday, The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany prays the prayers that have come from the people. Fittingly, we call that part of the service the “Prayers of the People.” During those prayers, we pray for the Universal Church, the nation, the welfare of the world, the concerns of the local community, those who suffer and those in any trouble, and for the departed. The prayers are typically ready by a member of the congregation, and the whole congregation responds in unison to each intercession.
While we may need to d it slightly differently in online worship spaces, it is still important that the Prayers of the People be just that: the prayers of the people. You are invited to join our intercessory ministry for online worship. On Sunday morning, you and one other person will pray the intercessions and invite our parish into the holy ministry of prayer.. On Sunday morning, we gather a few minutes before worship to go through the order of service and to complete last minute audio and video checks.
